Inside the cabin
You'll enjoy a comfortable stay sleeping in a spacious and cosy king bed. There's a high quality small kitchen with all the cooking equipment and appliances you’d find at home, a bathroom with a hot shower and a normal flushing toilet and a compact and beautiful dining and lounge area that is framed by nature, there's also air-conditioning for heating and cooling, and the dark interior and 360-degree glass walls designed to immerse guests in nature.
Running on sun rays and rain water, it is completely off-grid, so your holiday is kinder to the environment.
Enjoy sitting on the front deck watching nature pass you by or relaxing in the hot tub taking in the sunset as it passes through the valley floor.

Outside the cabin
The land and sandstone boulders surrounding the cabin are yours to enjoy on your own. From rambles along country roads of pristine wilderness to wandering the 1km heritage walk around Wollombi town, or watching wildlife from the large covered deck, adventures in nature await. Wollombi Village is only 5mins away by car.
Our cabins are in Wollombi, a historic village in the Lower Hunter, just 1 hour 45mins from Sydney. Once an important Aboriginal meeting place and a major junction on the convict trail, Wollombi now moves at a much slower pace, with charming family run cafes and restaurants, a country pub, local vineyards and historic 19th- century buildings.
Wollombi Village is a lovely 55min walk away or 5mins by car, where the locals will share their favourite hidden treasures, or discover a local Aboriginal Cultural Guide Walk through the Yengo National Park or visit a local winery. Laguna Village and the vineyards in the beautiful valley of Broke and the main Hunter Valley are also close by.
Or, simply do nothing but enjoy the views from your hill top perch looking down over the valley from the wood-fired hot tub.

The Cabin guide will explain the address of the cabin, how to access the cabin, how things work and what to bring etc
The Hot Tub Guide will explain how to light and heat the woodfired hot tub safely and easily.
You will also find a copy of these detailed guides at your cabin. Please leave them at the Cabin for the next guests or there will be a charge.
Can I take a dog?
Yes, but there is an additional charge and they must be well behavioured as we encourage local wildlife to roam freely and safely on our property for guests to enjoy. Your dog requires pre-approval to stay and you must add your dog to the guest list during the booking process. Your dog be at least 12 months old and no more than 20kgs. Please refer to our terms and conditions regarding your dog responsibilities.
What's your cancellation policy?
- Guests must cancel at least 5 days before check-in to receive a full refund less a small processing fee.
- If a reservation is cancelled less than 5 days before check-in, guests will be charged the total cost of the reservation (including tax).

Guests with Children Huch cabins are placed on plots of land where water such as streams, lakes and ponds may be present. Huch also provides wood fired hot tubs at its cabin locations. Guests are completely responsible for their own safety and the safety of their children and for having good swimming skills (e.g. do not enter water or try to swim if you are not an experienced swimmer). The NSW Swimming Pools Regulation 2018 requires spa pools and hot tubs to be covered with a child resistant structure such as a lid or cover. We provide hot tub covers with each hot tub.Guests must therefore have the hot tub cover fitted securely at all times during their stay when not using the hot tub, if they have children under 10. Please note NSW regulations also require parents to provide constant supervision of children around water to prevent accidents. You must ensure that young children are always within arm's reach and never left unattended. Huch is not liable for guests and their children's bodily injury (including death) due to different types of water settings and bodies including the hot tub. By booking a Huch cabin, guests recognise and accept this responsibility and affirm they have these general skills and will comply with Huch's booking terms and conditions. In summary:Children under 5 are not permitted to use the hot tub.
Adults must supervise children at all times when they are around an uncovered or open hot tub or any water body.
Parents must keep the hot tub covered fitted securely when not in use if they have children under 10 Snakes are also more present from October to March and tend to stay around streams and Billabongs looking for frogs and other food. Please do not enter these waterways or tall grassed areas.
What do I need to bring?
Food, drinks, swimmers
In Winter Warm clothes, hat & gloves, outdoor shoes, raincoat.
In Summer A sun hat, insect repellant & sun cream. The countryside is cooler than the City in the evenings, so warm clothes are a good idea in summer for sitting around the outside fire pit in the evenings.
Is there heating and cooling?
Yes the cabin is heated and cooled by an air conditioning system and also has a woodburner for cosy evenings in bed during winter.
There are also electric blankets for those extra cold winter evenings.
What's included?
The cabin includes bath towels, pillows and bedding, salt & pepper, cooking oil, coffee pod machine, coffee pods, cooking equipment, cutlery, utensils, BBQ, gas hobs, hot water, shower and flushing toilet, Yeti cooler box and a Yeti ice bucket. Ice can be brought at the Wollombi Tavern.
Top tips
Please ensure you buy your food, milk and drinks before you leave home. Our cabins are remote, so popping to the local supermarket isn’t usually an easy option.
Don’t forget to fill up your car with petrol before you leave the City.
